Our Impact on Mission

2020 - Before we could get the year up and running, COVID19 pandemic arrived in the United States causing all business and program closures on March 13th .  We were able to switch gears quickly and implement virtual online classes via Zoom in order to support and keep in touch with our community students and ambassadors. 

March 2020, Virtual online classes were implemented to support students and family while learning at home.  As of June 1st, the state of Texas slowly move toward reopening and we continue closely monitoring for the safety of our students.  Our summer camps were moved to hybrid camps which included virtual and onsite. Our summer 2020 DiscoverU21 Vision tour to San Francisco, CA has been postponed until it is safe to travel with our group of students and volunteers.  We are all in this together and we will come out stronger and COVID19 will not stop us!

St Philips School and Community Center - FFL assisting school by leading Implementation of the community tower garden project onsite to grow fresh foods onsite for their community pantry.   

2019 - Fit and Faithful Living Inc. (FFL)  Installed First classroom Indoor Tower Garden at Fort Worth Can Academy - Westcreek campus for ACE students promoting Healthy Families and STEM related academics. FFL began serving ACE students at Fort Worth Can Academy - Lancaster campus through, yoga and boxing classes.

2018 - Fit and Faithful Living Inc is proud to report the launch of first classroom Indoor Tower Gardens at Pease Elementary School,  South Dallas Cultural Center (sponsored in partnership with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas), Oak Cliff Boys and Girls Club and a community family member home for growing fresh fruits and vegetables.  FFL hosted a Turn Up For Health event to bring health & fitness awareness to community members. Featured guest speakers were Vegan Chef, Babette Davis and Mr. Universe (1993), Yohnnie Shambourger.

2016 - Fit and Faithful Living Inc.  hosted 5th Year Anniversary featuring guest speaker Gail Devers, Gold Medal Olympian.  FFL launched partnership with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas for volunteer opportunities and Big Thought for summer programming support and funding.  FFL began serving Texans Can Fort Worth - Westcreek campus ACE program students through fitness, nutrition and life skills classes.

2017 - Fit and Faithful Living Inc.  office moved from downtown Dallas to Oak Cliff to better serve marginalized community members.  14 Youth Ambassadors were awarded a five day leadership & empowerment trip to Washington, D.C.  Impact: By introducing youth to possibilities we create vision for working toward goals of either college or a trade. 

2014 - Fit and Faithful Living Inc.  the journey continues with the 3rd annual Health and Fitness EXPO featuring guest speaker and former National Football League Hall of Famer, Eric Dickerson.  Our message was further strengthened through the testimonies of Breaking Chains class participants, individual success stories, and the wisdom of Dr. Jill Waggoner, author, speaker, and Board Certified Family Practicing Physician.

2015 - Fit and Faithful Living Inc.  launched a partnership with the Boys and Girls Club of Dallas in Oak Cliff, TX.  FFL conducts weekly after school life skills, exercise and nutrition classes as well as mentoring students.  FFL began serving Dallas Can Carrollton/Farmers Branch campus ACE program students through fitness, nutrition and life skills classes.

2011 - Fit and Faithful Living Inc.  established as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in November.

2012 - Fit and Faithful Living Inc. launched its first annual Health and Fitness EXPO with the mission of supporting the fight against obesity.  Guest speaker was Mrs Ernestine Shepherd, Guinness Book of World Record Holder for Oldest Female Body Builder.

2013 - Fit and Faithful Living Inc. continued its mission to shift the culture to a healthy living standard.  FFL launched the Breaking Chains Life Classes aimed at  reinforcing the message of healthy living and second chances with guest speaker, Marion Jones, US Olympian.
